Thailand tourism is a huge earner for the country and many of the islands like Phuket and Samui are almost entirely dependent on the tourist $. Thailand tourism is evolving from the early days when only backpackers would be found wandering the country upto now when the tourist industry in Thailand has exploded and in many places could be said to have been over done. Thailand tourism has long been related to the sex industry and still that scene is around in many tourist areas and more than likely will be for time to come. There is thankfully more to Thailand tourism than the sex pests, and Thailand tourism has really become a true worldwide favorite destination.
